After taking a brief sabbatical I am employed by NK Architects as a Senior Healthcare Architect / Project Manager / Planner. 

Throughout my career I have been involved in many aspects of planning, design, production, and project management.   I am a licensed architect who is registered in the State of New York, a board-certified healthcare architect through ACHA and a LEED AP.

Created and managed the Healthcare and Wellness Studio.
Responsibilities were divided between design nd project management of healthcare building projects and business development of the Healthcare and Wellness Studio.
Clients included Mount Sinai Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Interfaith Medical Center, Promesa Systems (now Acacia Network), and Horizons Counseling and Education Center.

Project manager for hospital and laboratory projects. Supervised a staff of up to six people. Involved in all aspects of project management, including scheduling, budgeting, work-plans, proposals, interviews, code reviews, client and consultant interface, planning, production, and construction administration.
 Lead Manager for the following projects located in New York City:
Columbia University Medical Center, Renovation of the 12th Floor William Black Laboratory: a 10,000 square foot fit-out of the pathology laboratory. Project cost - $3,500,000.
Lenox Hill Hospital, Renovation of the Histology Laboratory: 2,000 square foot fit-out. Project cost - $800,000.
Lenox Hill Hospital Laboratory Automation Study: a detailed report that investigated the feasibility of renovating the 12th floor laboratories to incorporate automated systems.
James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Replacement of the HVAC Equipment and Related Architectural Work: a 16,500 square foot renovation of an animal research laboratory. Project cost - $4,800,000.
 Assistant Project Manager: Saint Joseph’s Hospital System Expansion, Paterson, New Jersey: a $250,000,000 expansion that included a new critical care building, main lobby building, emergency department, and renovations throughout the hospital campus. Worked closely with the project manager on all management-related duties.

 Project Architect: New York Presbyterian Hospital - Department of Surgery Renovation: a 44,000 square foot interior renovation of the academic and administrative areas for the Department of Surgery. Included a new 16,000 square foot out-patient clinic. Involved in all aspects of planning, design, and document production. Project cost - $25,000,000.
 Construction Administrator: The Construction of the NYC Transit Building at Myrtle - Wyckoff Station, Ridgewood, NY: a project that included the construction of a new 3-story building that bridged the M and R subway stations, upgraded and expanded the existing platforms, provided three new elevators and a dome constructed from glass panels and mosaic art work. Project also included street-level steel repairs to columns supporting the elevated M platform, new sidewalks, and road pavement. Led all aspects of construction administration, including RFIs, submittal review and approval, change orders, payments, and field reports. Project cost - $45,000,000.
 Lead Project Architect / Designer: The Expansion of the Emergency Department for Kingsbrook Hospital, Jamaica, NY: a 13,000 square foot, one-story addition and renovation of the emergency department. Involved in all aspects of new construction, including site and space planning, building design, building and health-code analysis, client and consultant interface, interior and exterior design and detailing, and construction administration.
