Harely is from Georgia. During his youth, he experienced communion with nature secluded in the wild. As an adult, a life spent as a hispanophile took him to Spain. For the first time, he felt the same shelter of the woods in that of the city. His moments of discovery felt natural; they felt like rediscoveries. Harley considers himself to be a man of letters fascinated by the city. His primary interest lies in the borderland between memory of place, the human imagination and the materialized substance of the world. He believes that architecture constitutes a language we employ to locate, map and navigate this borderland.
