Jason Fournier

I am a U.S. registered Architect with over 24 years of experience in large-scale building projects. My strengths include the planning, programming and designing of educational and cultural facilities. I am currently the leader of AECOM's Education and Cultural Studios for the MENA region. My expertise and ability to work with all the various constituents and stakeholders, and coordinate consultants in all phases of the design process have lead to the successful completion of many complex projects.

I’ve worn many hats as an architect but all focusing on a specific result, leaving the world a better place with a legacy of built work for learning, healing and culture.

Through my experience I bring a broad perspective, I have been a university faculty member, a client representative and a private sector architect. As a result of this diverse background I have a unique understanding of the many viewpoints involved in educational and cultural facility projects. My project roles include:

• Ensuring timely and cost efficient projects;
• Developing facility programs with end users;
• Ensuring designs fulfill the requirements of owners and end users and;
• Ensuring documents convey a high level of constructability.

My previous experience includes the management, department directorship and business development activities for regional offices of a number of large American architectural firms. I have been a member of the faculty of architecture at the University of Colorado and a visiting critic at The Catholic University of America, Carnegie Mellon University, and The Pennsylvania State University.

As a thought leader in the area of education I have lectured internationally on a variety of topics related to educational facility planning and design.
