My name is Janelle Baldock and I currently reside in New York City. I graduated with a BFA in Interior Design in May 2012 and moved here to gain design experience. I have lived here for a year and a half now and am planning on moving back to California by the end of the year.
I completed my design school required internship the summer between my junior and senior year of college at Dolce Home and Furnishings which is an interior design firm and furniture/accessories boutique. After completing my internship I was then hired as a junior designer/sales rep.
I also have had experience in holding a position at JP Construction as the sole interior designer. JP Construction is both a construction company and design consultation company. I learned a lot about the other side of design through this job which is the actual building and construction of the projects I designed in collaboration with my boss.
When first moving to New York I had the opportunity to get experience through an internship at Bunny Williams' retail store Treillage on the Upper East Side. I learned a great amount about high-end residential design and sales.
Currently, I am working for a children's apparel company in Midtown. Haddad Brands is the sold licensee of Nike, Jordan, Levi's, and Converse kids for apparel and accessories. At this company I am the Project Coordinator under the Marketing department. My main resposibility is maintaining instore retail design presentation. I work with a team to develop global retail design directives for our many global partners as well as work with individual partners on specific locations. I create floor plans, fixtures, renderings, schedules, etc. for all projects.
I hope that my knowledge and skills in the design field match what you are looking for in an employee. I would be happy to talk to any of you interested in learning more about me and my portfolio.

When I was promoted to a part-time employee, I did all of these tasks along with taking on some of my own projects. One project in particular was designing a restaurant called Monks Wine Lounge and Bistro. I did some space planning and totally redesigned the interior atmosphere.
