The goal was the recreate the structural system of the Golden Moon Pavilion by LEAD in Hong Kong. The process included the use of grasshopper to create the geometric form of the pavilion and digital prefabrication methods such as CNC milling for the jig of the dome. Metalwork included soldering and water jet to create the geodesic dome. After which, a steamer was used to dampen the wooden dowels which would then be bent and attached to the metal structure. Finally, small LED lights and fabric fins were tied to the metal and wood structure to form the facade of the pavilion.
