CENTER FOR
COASTAL HERITAGE SETS THE STAGE FOR THE ACQUISITION, PRESERVATION, AND ADAPTIVE REUSE OF BUILDING IN GALVESTON, TX DESIGNED IN ART DECO IN 1934. CREATED UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF THE GALVESTON HISTORIC FOUNDATION, THIS IS A PROPOSAL BY JACOB DALE AND JOEL BOST, ASSISTED BY DENISE CASTILLO AND NICK MELDE.
THE BUILDING IS REPURPOSED TO SUPPORT THE SUCCESS OF GALVESTON
HISTORIC FOUNDATION OPERATIONS: ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE SHOWROOM, HISTORIC ARCHITECTURAL ARTIFACT ARCHIVES
AND MUSEUM, AND
THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS ARCHITECTURAL PRESERVATION FIELD SCHOOL.
TODAY, THE BUILDING HAS BEEN OCCUPIED
BY THE G.H.F. AND THEY ARE MOVING FORWARD WITH THE VISION OF THIS PROPOSAL.
