About

Understanding and designing spaces as a way to enhance human experience is the passion that I want to continually pursue! As a creative person, I take great interest in cities and all the connections that contribute to it.

As a recent architecture graduate who is consumed by the creative process, I get excited about cities and the culture that is formed within them through the built and unbuilt spaces that stimulate human interaction. A recent project that shows this skill is my thesis which focused on landscapes of wellness through different cultural and physical contexts globally. In this year long project I researched and wrote a book called Landscapes of Wellness in which I also present my proposal that is based in Newburgh, NY and Roosevelt Island. Using hand sketches and softwares such as AutoCAD, Rhino, Illustrator, and Photoshop I devised plans and sections for a human centered approach within public spaces that enhanced the psychological and productive wellness within people.

As for the professional experience, I currently work at an architecture firm that specializes in higher education. For this role I have been part of multiple projects for which I have conducted extensive research, designed presentations, coordinated with subconsultants and contractors to ensure all deliverables are met and managed proposals. As a small firm, this role has given me a lot of opportunities to grow as a well rounded professional since I had responsibilities that varied greatly.

Another previous experience I had was as a Real Estate Development Intern at a non - profit called HCCI, where I have collaborated with architects to design high quality affordable housing. In this role I would meet with the project architect and the contractor on a weekly basis and communicate the necessary requirements to uphold the standard of construction. One of the key takeaways from this responsibility was my understanding of the construction process and the coordination between internal and external parties.

Wanting to keep learning and developing new skills in this industry, I am looking for opportunities that will let me grow as a designer and an urban researcher.
