About 

Dr. Henry Tsang is a Canadian architect, educator and editor.

Henry is a registered architect, member of the Order of Architects of Quebec (OAQ), the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) and the Architectural Institute of Korea (AIK). Certified as a LEED professional, he provides consultation services for green building design and healthcare facilities’ design & planning. He practiced as a design architect for 6 years with the Japanese architecture firm Nihon Sekkei Inc. in Tokyo, Japan.

As an educator, Henry is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering at Keimyung University (South Korea) and a faculty member in the RAIC Centre for Architecture at Athabasca University (Canada). Previously, he also taught in the Department of Sustainable Architectural Technology at Herzing College (Canada) and a visiting lecturer & design critic at the McGill University School of Architecture (Canada). He acts as education advisor to the Canada Green Building Council and ambassador of the Living Building Challenge program to the International Living Future Institute. Henry received the 2015 Educator of the Year award by the National Association of Career Colleges in Canada and the 2016 KDAI Design Professor Award in South Korea.

He has published many academic papers and articles on the topic of sustainable architecture and is a member of the Editorial Board for the International Journal for High-Rise Buildings by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).

He holds a B.Sc.Arch and M.Arch from McGill University (Canada) and a Ph.D. in architecture from the University of Tokyo (Japan) as a Japanese Government Monbukagakusho Scholar. In 2017, he was also appointed as the National Leader to represent Canada in the Next Generation Global Leaders / Ship for World Youth Leaders Program hosted by the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan and the United Nations. He's also been invited as a speaker for the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), TEDx, and international conferences in China, Greece and Korea.
