About

My name is Hayley Parke and I am a graphic designer. If I had to describe my work in three words, I would choose creative, interactive, and engaging. My design motto is that functional, and good looking designs make life better. Not only in terms of graphics, but also in our environment. When I am surrounded by a place that looks good, and works well, it just makes everything better, and my goal as a designer is to bring that idea to my work.

I don't really have a specific method of working through a new project, but instead, I try to let the subject matter dictate my process. One thing I usually do is look at what has already been done, and think about how I can improve on that. Not only do I try to make my work aesthetically pleasing, but I also take into account it's goal, or purpose as a piece. I think about how the user or audience is going to interact with the project, and how I can make it the most engaging, and useful as possible.

If you take a look at the work in my portfolio, you will see that I apply these goals to the work that I do. Functionality and simplicity are important to me. I like to add unexpected colors, textures, and fonts to my designs to spice it up, while remaining clean, and professional.
