The Ricefields

This project takes place on a parcel located at an angle  between two existing buildings.
Based on the traditional rice field topography, the concept was to create a residential complex that connects the surrounding buildings and steps to offer a large opening to the heart of the island. The idea of graduated levels allowed us to design residences that benefit from excellent views to a series of green terraces controling the air flow and light incidence through the entire complex.

Including different retail and shared amenities, the podium creates a junction between the two residences by offering a pedestrian promenade to an upper esplanade.

The  building becomes a vertical landscape that improves the quality of the living experience.
