My name is Gorka Beitia Zarandona and I am a young graduate who has recently completed an Architecture Degree Program in the University of the Basque Country in Spain.

This portfolio is a brief selection of my academic and professional work. A collection of what I consider to be the most relevant sample that has contributed into my education and sensibility as an architect, urbanist and designer. So to speak, it mirrors my personal interests in the last periord of my architecture career.

A holon is something that is simultaneously a whole and a part, and this is my perception of architecture today, as a holarchic entity. In a holarchy the value of every person comes from his individuality and uniqueness, and his ability to capture and interact with others to make useful the fruit of that singularity. Architecture should be based on a new model of communication, it should evidence the intention to contain a whole microcosm in itself, full of consonant nuances that create dynamic spaces. My vision holds a simple complexity, a spatial poetry.

I am interested in the creative process and aesthetics, both theroretically and from a practical approach in the execution. I consider myself a passionate architect who strongly believes theory and practice should go together. Self confident with excellent teamwork skills, strong work ethic and a great adaptability I always keep a positive attitude.
