Assisted project managers in all duties of the design and construction of high-end residential projects. Coordinated with contractors, consultants and manufacturers on a daily basis. Conducted comprehensive surveys of existing site conditions. Collaborated in the development and production of drawings and documents for construction and permit reviews. Assisted in the selection of material palettes and specifications. Produced highly customized millwork and architectural details using AutoCAD, SketchUp and Rhino.

Assisted in an evaluation of tools and methods for conceptual estimating used, within the framework of Target Value Design, to evaluate capital costs from architectural program, site characteristics and performance criteria.

Taught a weekly 3 hour computer lab section with 28 students which gave support to the Graduate and undergraduate 4 unit course on Introduction to Structures for Architects. Collaborated with instructors to write and evaluate assessment material.

Minority Community Design Fellowship, Award

The Minority Community Design Program Fellowship was established in 1995 in memory of Professor of Architecture Ken Simmons. Professor Simmons was known and loved for his work in equal rights, urban planning, and community development. The Minority Community Design Program Fellowship honors his efforts and vision of diversity at CED by supporting students pursuing a career in community design.
