About

My concept and research driven process forms my identity. Since I was a child, an array of landscapes has motivated my creative expression. As I child, I lived with my family on a sailboat for a year. My first encounters with nature and fractal patterns were recorded in watercolor paintings and clay forms, leaf boats and shell designs. In our ambulant domicile, I learned about constructing a home within a restrictive environment; because there was no room to spare on our 28-foot boat, my parents had to be inventive with every inch. I’m excited by the idea of working within an economy of means like this, engaging the unusual act of making the everyday somehow extraordinary.

Along the trajectory of my studies, what most consistently intrigued me has been art and design related. I’ve always been entranced by the world of designing and constructing space. This has led me to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Emory University and a Masters in Architecture from Georgia Tech. My practice is characterized by a consistent creative vision and an iterative approach to solving each design problem. I continue to integrate art, design, architecture and writing in my work as a designer of spaces and objects that are sensitive to humans and challenge the perceptions of the quotidian.
