It depends on for who and where you want to work. If you posses the skills to draft without some credentials like a degree from a drafting program from a community college somebody might still hire you, it's a long shot but you have to prove your capabilities. I completed a two architectural drafting program an was working in a office right away. I even had a part time drafting job while earning my degree. Every employer is going to have some prerequisite for experience and skill level.

Just out of interest wondering what qualification architectural drafting comes under in the US.
