Printing Scaled jpg/Drawing in Revit

masbldr

Hi, I'm new to Revit Architecture 2010 and trying to print a jpg plan of a building from Revit. I got how to insert the jpg and scale it on the screen, however, I can't seem to print it at the correct scale. I'm used to setting up a viewport in AutoCAD, making it for example a 24"x36" viewport, setting the scale at say 1/4", and then simply plotting/printing by selecting the viewport. Is there something like a viewport in Revit to print from, or is there an easier way? Thanks for any help with this.

1. create a new drafting view and insert the jpeg plan on it...

2. draw a line as a reference for something on the jpeg plan you can match a dimension to and scale to that dimension (so your jpeg matches the real dimensions of the model)...

3. set the scale you want on the view (the scale you want it on a sheet)

4. place that drafting view on a sheet

5. print the sheet at 1 to 1 (the sheet is like your paper space)
