Contract Furniture - Lounge / Club Chair?

myriam

Hey guys, I'm desperate to find a comfy lounge chair that's relatively inexpensive but is also COOL. I have been looking at Keilhauser and Bernhardt and even BluDot but nothing is quite unique/funky enough or classy enough or cheap enough. Does anyone have any suggestions of other places to look? I'm totally new to this game.

Thanks!!

I just found this website the other day. I'm not entirely clear that everything they offer is licensed, but it would be worth a call to find out.

Out of Philly, Float has some very cool designs.

Let me think on it a bit more.

white on white furniture makes very cheap replicas of classic designs.

lb. those prices seem to be more or less legit for the first website...
a couple that are kind of low, but for the most part seems on par
with what i'd expect.

i've really been struggling to find some new chairs for my living room. i have not seen anything locally that i like that is somewhat affordable, yet i could never just buy something, especially a chair, on the web. how do you know if it is comfortable or not? will the crappy jpgs hold up to the real deal? i guess you could always have it shipped back, but that expense is on you.

e-are you talking about buying classics or something new?
for me i buy eames chairs cause i like the look and they're
really comfortable...if not i try to go to a store and sit in the
chair to see how i like it and then buy it online...in my
experience the online furniture is very comporable to that
purchased in store.

either/or lars. in the past, i have done what you are describing. more often than not, stores list a lot of product online and only have a fraction of it in their store, and it is usually that thing that they only display online that i want. arggg...

Keilhauer and Bernhardt are not so cheap....even at cost. Steelcase has some interesting options, especially under their "Metro" line. http://steelcase.com/na/lounge_products.aspx?f=10273 Also, Bernhardt is typically NOT very comfortable!

Carolina's Kruz chair is pretty cool... http://www.carolinabusinessfurniture.com/products.php?type=seating&category=lounge

Not SUPER cool, but should be pretty comfortable is KI...

Don't know how comfy, but definitely attractive...

Finally, for a fairly exhaustive list of contract manufacturers....

Super affordable and a few contemporary choices...

The Belmonde is REALLY comfortable for a contract line.

Have fun!!!!

Vintage classics on Ebay and Craigslist all day long.

Knock off replica classics are evil on many levels.
