7 years for the structural engineer or... the architect? I'm unaware of any architect in grad school learning more math, physics, or structural analytics - maybe fancy curtain wall design but nothing really about safety and welfare in terms of structure; as a whole, far from it. I guess I'm implying, for an arch degree, 7 years is maybe unnecessary...? (( and can't you get a struct engineer degree in 4 years? ))
