What kind of solution can I apply to Corten steel in interior use?

Duchess

Evening folks.

Im trying to figure out what kind of chemical solution can I apply to Corten steel for interior use, that it can be touched but the rust doesn't fall off.

An automotive clear coat or some urethanes will work. You probably want a flat overcoat or additive. You are going to need to collaborate with a finisher on the spec as I don't think anything out of the can is going to work.

Don't forget the free tetanus shots at the building entrance.

Tetanus doesn't come from rust, it can only harbour it after contamination. In an interior, it's not an issue.

Rusty!

Don't use an acid drenched, rusted out garbage can as an interior finish, Christ. But if you do, cover it in asbestos for maximum assault on indoor air quality..
