Is a one year masters in Architecture valid for getting your license in Canada or do you have to complete a two year program?

That won't count for an architecture license... the 3y deal is accredited program. Are you looking to practice as an architect in Canada?

Urban design does not need a license hence the 1y program.

You'll need to take an accredited M.Arch in Canada or USA for 2 years, Work for another 2 years and then take your exams.
