AIA stand on immigration

gruen

OK, honestly I feel this is really weak. AIA takes a centrist stance on immigration, on the one hand "stop those who want to hurt us" and on the other hand allow immigration if useful for business. The truth is that immigrants cannot become architects in our country, unless they are US educated - even when their home countries provide superior education (IE: Germany). If the AIA was serious, they'd be working with NCARB to provide a real path to allow immigrants to become US licensed architects. This letter is clearly an attempt for the AIA to clean up the mess they made when they wrote the original puff piece to work with Trump, and this letter takes no real stance against the new immigration policies of the Trump administration. A better title for this article would be "Where we stand: right on top of the fence"

Why would you want the AIA to stand against our govt i.e. the people who ARE trying to protect you? lol

The AIA does not know how to do anything outside of autofellating.
