What are some of the best designed firm websites you have seen recently?

moeamaya

Hey all, we've been building websites for firms for a few years now, so needless to say we've seen hundreds of precedents. While the prevailing rhetoric is that architecture websites are terrible, I wouldn't say that's the case anymore and in fact I'd wager to say that architects are getting downright good at creativity on the internet.

Yes there's still the 90s Flash site of DillerScofidio and the anachronistic site that is Herzog de Meuron, but on the whole we've finally embraced the fact that sites should be usable before novel.

Anyways enough soap boxing, but we picked our favorites from this year and one of our unexpected choices was a corporate firm, KPF! https://monograph.io/blog/best-architecture-websites-2016/

Full roundup: Snohetta, Tennent Brown, KPF, Olson Kundig (personal favorite), and IF_DO.

Any others you all like that we may have missed??

Other than their well-designed web, surprised no one talks about their well-designed works here.

That NADAA site is horrible. It has some serious readability and navigation problems.

And is it using Flash? LOL

Ahh poor Nader. He was one of the Monograph co-founder's thesis advisor, so we've been giving him shit about the NADAAA site for years. We've offered to build him a new one a bunch of times, but he's always low on time and money to do it right. Maybe we'll get him on Monograph soon, so it's not such a rough representation of the office's work!

Well, this has been disappointing.

(However, I do love Thomas Bollay. Dude is a legend.)

The firm I'm at just redid their website:

A cool feature I thought was the before/after sliders on some of the portfolio projects like Union Station.

Union Station was before my time here.  It would be a good place to get a drink though.
