The famous Orpheus ballroom and department store in Belfast, Northern Ireland has been completely demolished. Construction began in 1929 and opened in 1932. What a shame that such a splendid piece of architecture and local history has been destroyed. There was nothing wrong with the building and it took many months to demolish it. Here is video of the demolition.
