Will be in NYC a few months during a residency. What are the 10-15 buildings done in the last 15 years or so that I should make sure I see while there?

Thanks for the suggestions!

My suggestion is not a building, but the High Line is a great example of incorporating urban, public spaces within a natural environment. It's one of my favorite places to walk while in NYC. Also the Whitney Museum is incredible and well edited for the context of the environment and in the same area.

Just some of my personal favorites. Lots of development occurring in the lower manhattan area! very exciting!

I second ccarry's suggestion above about the Highline.

Also, one of the most interesting built projects  in the last 15 years is near NYC, an 80 minute drive out  of the city. Sanaa's Grace Farms is definitely worth the drive to New Caanan, Connecticut.

David Adjaye's Sugar Hill housing complex in Harlem.
