Form Function is not enough.

The Student

Hi all

I'm a student in NYC working on a project in Brooklyn. The area at the moment is hipster/industrial and in the process of gentrification. Recently theres been several large warehouse fires which are probably going to turn into large condo's buildings. The locals are complaining about higher taxes which will probably push them out of the area. So I have a few mixed feelings about the location, both good and not so.

I don't want to simply wrap the program inserting structure and systems as I go as I feel this will have no relevance or connection to the area but I am really struggling with an idea

Can anyone give me a little guidance or direction

Much appreciated

The Student.

Wythe and N. 9th is not "gentrifying". It is done. Lost. No hipsters are moving there anymore. Real hipsters are in East Williamsburg, Bushwick, Bed-stuy and Crown Heights.

Walk through that area a bit more. Get to know the city a bit more.
