Hinder

As the title implies. what are the main principles to consider when designing an open-plan public space. Any links or books would be helpful as well, thanks!

Hinder, first rule of open-plan design: toilets still require enclosures.

I remember a 1st year design student of mine a few years ago who tried to design a house where the toilet floated openly... no dividers, no curtain, nothing. It's "open-concept" the student cried out! No it was not.
