How do I develop my workflow?

CasperRegime

Dear fellows.

I spend too much time trying to get a working and efficient digital workflow. From idea to presentation and work drawing.

Now I only do interior work, but with a lot of custom builds and with deliverables to architects and public developers that needs CAD files for the archives.

My issue is that the intuitive thing to do is to start up sketchup and make the initial iterative development between sketches and 3D. But then I would have to build the whole thing from ground to deliver in CAD? Does that mean I should just think ahead and get to now a CAD program and start there and would it be clever to learn BIM while I'm at it and should the app be Revit then?

I need and app somewhere between Sketchup and Revit/AutoCad...?

Thanks!

between sketchup and revit/CAD sounds like Rhino to me. Do all your design/modeling/rendering in rhino, export to autocad for deliverables
