Skidmore Owings and Merrill does... this model must have leaked somewhere.

Yes, its quite an amazing model. Now, if only we could find the leaky source...

A quick search did not reveal it, but seems to me there was a link to a Rhino model kicking around in the forum about 18 months back.

This is not the SOM model but might be useful to you. It is not scaled.

Just came across this post and tried to follow the link to the Rhino file--seems to be dead.  Any chance it's still kicking around out there? Would love an updated link, if possible

Thanks!

i have a 3d gis buildings shape. you can export this as vml or other in Max or Rhino and "cap" or "normal" the buildings as sometimes sides will be missing. its a huge file so generally i select the region im working in.

let me know if interested.

Spackle, I am looking for a model of SF/Bay area also.

Can it be uploaded to my dropbox folder?  I can set that up.

thanks.

When I was at SOM-SF, I used pieces of it as context to Link into Revit files for projects in SF - I don't have it - wish I did - But as I said earlier, I am building Revit Parametric versions of parts of SF.

in the meantime, here is a good link to how you will need to execute the conversion from GIS to Max or Rhino.

Phantom, is it possible to  repost the Rhino file?

Or anyone who has just done the conversion?  Could try to return the favor with something!
