I am interested in working in the non profit sector and I want to be licensed. Some of the places I am looking into are not organizations where there is a licensed architect on-staff. To complete IDP for a majority of the IDP hours the working under an architect is required. Is there a way to work around this if working in the non profit sector? Does anybody have any experience with this? How did you handle it?
You're best bet would probably be to work in an office while working towards your license. Once you get licensed or finish your IDP, then you could probably go into the non profit.
