Help!!!! Can't Decide!! Architecture or Interior Design?!?

tsealy95

I'm a college student going into my sophomore year pursuing a basic design degree. My plans for grad school is to gain education in both interior design and architecture, getting licensed in hopefully both.

My question:

Which one should I pursue first after undergrad? Better question: which one is more promising to pursue first?

I understand that  both take a significant amount of time to pursue

Is it better to transition from architecture to interior design as an architect, or transition from interior design to architecture as an licensed interior designer?

Thanks

Architecture > Interior Design by a cubic light-year

You do not need to chase anything interior design related if you acquire an professional degree in architecture. You can still become a licensed int-des with a M.Arch (why would you?... but to each their own) but you cannot become a licensed architect with int-des education.

The surplus of exclamation points may point you toward interior design...
