MIAMI, March 7, 2013 — Berenblum Busch Architecture (BB Architecture), a Miami-based architecture firm, today announced that the first-of-its-kind Lincoln Road Putting Club has received approval from the Miami Beach Design Review Board. The project is anticipated to start construction in the first quarter of next year.
The 20,000-square-foot state-of-the-art, rooftop entertainment establishment will include a 2,000-square-foot restaurant, lush tropical garden and 18-hole miniature golf course. Slated to open in the Fall of 2014, the Putting Club will offer guests of all ages an extension of the best that Lincoln Road Mall has to offer with all of its retail, dining and various other experiences.
“We are excited to start the transformation of the rooftop into a unique, family-oriented gathering spot,” said Glenn Boyer, owner of the Putting Club. “We expect it will be a perfect addition to the thriving pedestrian Mall. Beyond the movies and bowling, there are few structured activities available for families. We’re creating a new alternative that promises to be a great place for locals, tourists and events. I would love to see it become a neighborhood gathering space,” added Boyer.
“After carefully studying the architecture and experience of Lincoln Road, the goal of our design is to create a unique destination that ties to the history and aesthetic of Lincoln Road Mall while becoming an integral part of the future of the Lincoln Lane corridor,” said Gustavo Berenblum, principal of BB Architecture.
