The project developed thanks to a flexibility condition manifested by the client. The fundamental requirement consisted in the continuous necessity to change the use of the offices, which, for functional schemas, surround the studios and they are always facing outwards. Additionally, the obligation to open or close the façades, depending on the technical necessities that each department from the TV station needs, in this way the conditions used to vary in having an office for editing images with total darkness in any point of the façade and an office on the other side where they worked the scripts and that needed exterior light; due to the consequences from these variables the challenge consisted in giving a technical and aesthetical solution to the set so it could work in this double condition without the façade affecting the interior or exterior image of the building. We developed a double façade where each part performs a specific function; the interior façade it is in glass that goes from the ceiling to the floor in sliding glass sheets and serves to ventilate and seal the space; this last function we replaced the glass sheets with Super Board prints that are adjusted to the sliding frameworks. The second skin of the façade is micro-perforated prints framed by concrete silhouettes which serve the purpose of letting sieving light pass by for the good use of the offices and unify the exterior image of the building. As a final result, there is a total flexibility in the use and disposition of the offices inside the building and an aesthetical and institutionalized image to the exterior.
