Hill Country Chicken is a 2 level, 5200 sf Texas style fried chicken and pie restaurant.
The design goal was to blend a small town café with a vintage kitchen to capture the golden age of American home cooking.
Design inspirations came from 1950s advertisements by Armstrong and Sears that appeared in magazines offering decorating ideas that set the standard for that era. The main dining room is meant to evoke the nostalgic feeling of a "grandma's kitchen", while the lower level dining area is a throwback to the classic basement “rec-room” and is outfitted with game tables, wood paneling, “built-in” banquettes and booths.
