Transukkah

This entry for the Sukkah City competition in New York City featured a temporary pavilion to be erected in Union Square as part of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. This expandable, collapsable structure made of cardboard will be an interactive, fun, and surprising system with an infinite number of possible configurations. The matrix of physical configurations and programmatic functions yields a Sukkah that is always transforming to optimize the meanings and intentions of the structure’s existence.
