Allies and Morrison was jointly responsible for assessing the regeneration potential of the Lower Lea Valley and contributed to London’s successful bid to host the 2012 Games. The practice subsequently became a part of a multi-disciplinary team appointed by the Olympic Delivery Authority to deliver masterplans for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and for the Post-Games Transformation of the site in 2013, creating a new park for London. We are also the design architects for new structures, bridges and highways in the park.

Allies and Morrison lead the design overlay of the public areas of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for use during the Games as well as a number of other key historic London venues of the Olympic Games (LOCOG), as part of Team Populous. In 2008 we were appointed by the London Development Agency to jointly lead the masterplan for permanent Legacy development and are now working on this with the London Legacy Development Company.

Today we are leading the multidisciplinary team, including architects O'Donnell + Tuomey and Camps Felip Arquitecturia, on the Stratford Waterfront cluster of cultural and educational buildings in the Park. The development will include the new V&A E20, Sadler's Wells, the new home of the London College of Fashion and new homes, retail and gallery spaces, and public realm.
