the purpose of this office re-design was to eliminate underutilized spaces that were remnants of an illegal apartment (large kitchen and bathroom) and to create a space at one vibrant and quiet. our proposal pushes the “office” aspects of the program to either end of the plan and creates a porous hall between them, composed of storage, library and display space. this hall shields the resource and lounge space from the main entry and creates a cohesive activity area.
