For a residential suburb of Bergen op Zoom, the master plan aims for housing in 1930’s style. The design for this row of houses addresses this 1930’s ambition by understanding the underlying qualities that this architectural style is appreciated for: legibility, lively compositions of the facades that create a soft transition between public and private domains in and around the house. Based on this premise a floor plan was developed in which the housing plans are interwoven to give each house a wide façade facing alternately the street or the garden with a large wide window.
