Natural light and clear sealed plywood make up the material palette used to refresh a quirky Seattle design firm’s office. By pulling the main conference room away from the windows, and opening up its large corner with sliding glass panels, daylight pours into the conference room, communal areas and illuminates lobby and breakout spaces. Plywood cladding wraps the largest room and defines the volume, and reappears throughout the space as a custom conference table, ziggurat seating element, as well as the reception design and cabinetry throughout the space.
