The design was developed after a prolonged search for a table of similar shape and dimension proved fruitless. The elliptical form of the thick Bubinga top provides a central focus to a large, angular, and geometrically irregular room. The monolithic slab top contrasts with the visually active steel base, which is finished with a wax patina. The legs of the table are recessed from the table edge, allowing diners to have ample leg space.
