Aedas-designed Marina Bay Station Wins 2013 UIPT Asia-Pacific Grow with Public Transport Award
The canopy and reflective pool help integrate the Marina Bay Station into the park environment. Inspired by the local rain trees, the ETFE canopy blends well with the green environment. The ETFE canopy also serves as a shelter from the suna nd rain for park users. Innovative transport facility design brings more than technical agenda to the users. Most station facilities are underground to minimise impact to the park landscape.
