PURE was founded in 2002 in Los Angeles, California, and in 2007, its China studio was opened in Shanghai. PURE is one of the leading practices in China for applying advanced computer technology in architectural design. It dedicates to create a dynamic and related living environment to engage Architecture, Landscape and City cohesively together through stimulating human being’s body movement. With educational and professional background from both the Eastern and the Western, this group of young practitioners embraces the most advanced design concepts and technology, reexamines contemporary architectural design in China where is undergoing a dramatic urbanization in a very short period of time.
