ACME Space
On an urban scale, the office has completed a number of masterplans include a 21 hectare public realm strategy for Bishopsgate Goodsyard/ London and 35 hectare plan for Smithfield/ Birmingham. Both projects seek to create a coherent open space strategy with the addition of new inner city parks and large scale retail, hotel, office and residential programs in an existing urban context. Other city centre masterplanning work currently ongoing include Parc Tawe in Swansea, Kingston City Centre, Eastgate Quarter in Leeds and Colentina Quarter in Bucharest, Romania.
On an architectural scale, ACME has worked on a number of projects in the UK, Germany, Spain, Korea, Romania, Bahrain and Dubai. Buildings in the United Kingdom include a landmark retail building and a 1.500 m² Canopy for a public square in Sheffield. In Leeds, the practice is designing a John Lewis department store and a multistory car park for 3000 cars as part of the Eastgate Quarter. In Bahrain, the office has designed a large retail complex for Isa Town and a Food Court for Bahrain City Centre.
