One of the project’s primary objectives consists in the addition of a new building as a new leading element of the central Piazza Giovanni XXIII together with the existing municipal buildings and the commercial square. The building is located at the corner of Via Buelli and Via Roma and harmoniously combines residential units and a small commercial area that faces the piazza.

The volume is inserted into the existing context maintaining an introverted character in relation to the bordering buildings at north and west but facing the south with large openings and terraces, both for the residential and for the commercial area, offering the best views towards and from the piazza; this solution assures optimal orientation for the application of climactic strategies geared toward energetic efficiency and sustainability.

The commercial area is located on the ground floor dividing the parking and the pedestrian access to the building. The apartments are located on the upper levels and could be reached through an elevator and a staircase that become the most characteristic design elements of the north facade.

A balcony or terrace is provided for each unit, offering great views of the piazza in front. The interior layout is conceived in a flexible manner, allowing a wide range of residential alternatives by the unification or subdivision of the spaces according to the need.
