My name is Fereshteh, and I am studying Computational Design at CMU. I did my study in Architecture at Tehran University of Arts, willing to learn how I could create human spaces extra ordinary. Some occurrences in my architectural learning like AA (Architectural Association of London) workshops allowed me to focus on some holistic and also essential subjects in architecture such as “Methodology in Design ” (based on CAD/CAM), “Vital Role of Digital Fabrication in Design Process” and the new ideas of "Parametricism in Architecture".
The credence of “Design as a Research and Research as a Design” is something that has pushed me toward theoretical issues in mentioned areas.
As a person who believes COMPUTATION and CODING are the fundamental parameters in Design and architecture, I came to Carnegie Mellon University that is really well known in Computer Sciences, to develop my knowledge in computer science and programming. And direct and integrate it with design creativity.
What I will involve in next step of my learning is concentration on “Design Fabrication methods and Fabricating Design” by computation.
I will be so happy to be in connection with you about any idea. Feel free to contact me.
