Considering a new medium to encase a television in the formal living room of a 1930s Hollywood Regency house, Felix Pfeifle designed this smoked lucite vitrine. The TV is shrouded and instead of sitting as a merely functional element in the room--at which the inhabitant didn't want to look at certain times--it becomes a decorative element, itself.
