In place since 2004, the <a href="http://www.zgf.com/scholarship/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Zimmer Gunsul Frasca Architectural Scholarship Fund</a> of The Oregon Community Foundation is intended to recognize and foster students who have a demonstrated talent and passion for architecture. $10,000 will be awarded to one scholarship recipient; a currently enrolled student entering their final year in a graduate or undergraduate level, NAAB accredited, architecture program in the fall of 2012. In addition to the financial award, a summer 2012 internship in one of the firm's five office locations (Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles, New York or Washington DC) will be offered to the scholarship recipient. The scholarship recipient will be selected in June, with funds awarded for the 2012-2013 academic year. Construction has begun on a new Tasting Room for Sokol Blosser Winery in the Willamette Valley wine region. Designed by Brad Cloepfil, founding principal of Allied Works Architecture, the new building will provide a range of spaces for sampling Sokol Bosser’s wines and viewing their Yamhill County estate. One of the founders of Oregon’s wine making industry, the Sokol Blosser family has been producing Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and other varietals since 1978.</p>

In 2012, the winery commissioned Allied Works to develop a master plan and design a new tasting room and event space that would be the showpiece of the 100-acre estate. The project will be the first to bring internationally-recognized, contemporary architecture to the heart of the Oregon wine country.</p>
