Whether experienced in exhibition form (the <a href="http://archinect.com/news/article/77578/review-between-earth-and-heaven-the-architecture-of-john-lautner" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Hammer Museum's 2008 show</a> was a marvelous introduction for those unfamiliar with his canon) to documentary film, Lautner's fearless yet elegant exploration of space and material continues to captivate decades after his death in 1994. However,&nbsp;the industry has also been venturing into other traditionally architectural realms.
