The project, called CJ LiveCity Arena, is being spearheaded by CJ LiveCity, a subsidiary of South Korean entertainment company CJ ENM, in partnership with sports and live entertainment company AEG. The group held a <a href="https://archinect.com/news/tag/89650/groundbreaking" target="_blank">groundbreaking</a> ceremony last week to mark the start of the project&rsquo;s construction phase. The arena is expected to open in 2024.</p> <p>In a statement from 2019 announcing the partnership, CJ LiveCity&rsquo;s CEO Michael Kim said: &ldquo;This collaboration combines CJ&rsquo;s long-standing cultural business capabilities with AEG&rsquo;s venue development and operations expertise and its global live touring and promotions capacities.
