What if the objects of our everyday interiors are implemented in the construction of the homes themselves? Walls
might be built of chairs, picture frames, tables, and other miscellaneous objects of the homeowner. As if someone left
a letter in the floorboards for someone to discover in the future, might we make it more apparent what types of things
are hidden as objects within the architecture.
The project takes a closer lo ok at the shrink wrap command in Maya, and how it might be used to leave traces
of discernible objects within the architecture, i.e. wall, ceiling, flo or,, cabinets, etc not on as evidence of memory, but a
useful object as well. The aggregate is the everyday objects of the common interior, that compile inside or outside
the shrink - wrap in order to construct a new form for what might ordinarily a flat surface. The objects might not nestle
with one another, but rather in combination with the shrink - wrap material. The goal for the project is to rethink the use
of everyday objects within the physical construction of the homes’ architecture.
