The M.Arch1 program at Carleton University is a professional degree that emphasizes architectural design as a form of critical inquiry. The 7 semester program brings together students from wide array of academic backgrounds into a comprehensive and enriching studio experience. The program also focuses on intensive courses in building technology, advanced building systems and design economics. In addition to acquiring full professional M.Arch. qualifications, I was exposed to peers and ideas of diverse backgrounds and learned to work in an interdisciplinary atmosphere unique to our program at Carleton University.

The visual communication program at AUS builds on strong traditions of visual experimentation and professional preparation and focuses on the complexities of design process and creative thinking. Through specialized classes in design topics such as illustration, printmaking, advanced photography and information design for print and digital media, I learned to be a producer of objects, communications and environments that critically enhance and transform the world around us.
