I am a recent graduate with my bachelor’s of science degree in architecture from The Ohio State University. I am extremely comfortable with the design process and can work within strict standards or with limited direction. I have worked extensively with AutoCAD, Sketchup and the Adobe Suite and can produce technical as well as experiential concept drawings. I've been expected to present design concepts and have learned to constructively apply criticism. I've worked in a collaborative environment, utilizing multiple perspectives to create a more refined product, but have also taken on individual design tasks and can work independently.
My past experience interning for architecture and contracting firms, as well as hands on construction experience, have given me extensive knowledge of general building and fabrication practices. Because of this, I can design practically, considering the feasibility of a project and how it will be applied to the physical environment. I've managed projects from initial design to material selection, ultimately being heavily involved with the construction of the final product.
In my current position as a space planner in the Google NYC facility I have learned about corporate interiors and the needs of a large scale office servicing four thousand employees. I currently manage multiple furniture vendors and am involved with acquiring furniture to develop spaces that meet specific needs within the office. I am constantly managing multiple projects and have streamlined many procedures within my department.
I truly love the design process, developing a concept and then figuring out how to make a vision a reality. Outside of work some of my passions include sculpture and woodworking, as I always want to be designing and creating. I bring energy, intelligence and innovation to all my work.
